- Open Teams:
- Type the name of the person you want to reach in the top bar:
- Click on their name when it shows up. If you're on an active call, that will still be displayed in the left panel
- You can type a message in the bottom box to send them. Here I sent one to Shannon:
- You can click on the picture of the people with a + sign to add people to the chat. Here, I add Adam:
- And then I can send a chat to both of them. Note at the top where it shows there are 3 people in this chat now - and I've clicked on it, so you can see the list of people (myself, Shannong, and Adam - although they're listed in alphabetical order)
- I sent a message, and Adam responded; his meme game is strong today, and you can see he's typing yet another message.
- You can click on the icons in the upper-right to turn the chat into a call (video or audio) - the camera icon starts a video chat, and the phone icon an audio chat. The up-arrow-with-box lets you share your screen.
- If someone calls you it will look like this:
- And if you go to start a video call with someone, you will see something like this:
- Once you're both on the video call, you can both see each other, and what THEY are seeing from your camera, shows up in the lower-right:
- Have fun with Teams!
