First, is your meeting longer than 40 minutes?

If "no", and it's with 100 people or fewer, please setup your own FREE Zoom account, using your Hope email. (Or have a group leader setup an account with their email, etc.)


If you need up to 300 people to attend the meeting, and/or if your meeting is longer than 40 minutes, you need to reserve one of Hope ten Zoom rooms.


If your credentials aren't working, please confirm you've got the latest information, from here.



Please do NOT change any settings that are not within your meeting! The rooms are used for multiple events throughout the week, and it sows confusion when lingering details for the wrong event show up.



To reserve a Zoom room:

  1. Fill out the appropriate Genesis form: https://www.lutheranchurchofhope.org/genesis-forms/ 
  2. The Admin team will get back to you with details on what Zoom Room you've been assigned.
  3. If meeting security is not an issue for you skip to step 8, otherwise continue for the ability to set a meeting password.
  4. Go to zoom.us in a web browser and click Sign In in the upper right corner
  5. Login with the credentials provided by Admin
  6. Click Schedule at Meeting from the upper right options
  7. If you would like the meeting to be private set a password
  8. Enable advanced options such as a waiting room and enter emails for alternative hosts if the meeting has them.
  9. Click Save
  10. Get the link to hand out
  11. At the scheduled time visit the Join URL provided.  If you have not already it will prompt you to download the Zoom client application.
  12. Install the Zoom client
  13. If you are hosting the meeting click login at the bottom of the dialog
  14. Sign in with the credentials provided in the meeting request approval email
  15. Join with Computer Audio
  16. Control your meeting
  17. When the meeting is over click End Meeting in the bottom right corner
  18. Sign Out of the Zoom client to free up the room
