How to use Forticlient's VPN from the Microsoft Store

click the start button, and type "store"
open the Microsoft Store
click the search button; search for "forticlient" (without quotes). Select the item that shows up:
click "get" or "install" (or "get", then "install", in some cases
click Launch; you should get a pop-up with some technical details. If so, it's successfully installed. Close the dialog. (If not, review steps 1-5)
click your network icon (usually picture of Wi-Fi waves or a computer), then click "Network & Internet settings"
click VPN
click "Add a VPN connection"
you'll get a pop-up like this:
fill it out like so, then click "save":
click HopeWDM
click "Connect"
put in your username and password *make sure they are correct - if it fails, you may have to remove and re-setup the connection* and click OK.
To disconnect from the VPN: follow steps 6, 7, 11, and then click "Disconnect".
