How to grant yourself Admin access on a Mac

Go to your applications folder and open Self Service.

Head over to the Admin On-Demand tab on the left. Click on Request Admin Now.

Type in your reason for requesting Admin access. Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Click Got it.

You'll receive a notification confirming your account has been elevated to Admin.

When you are prompted for admin credentials, enter in your username and password.

After 5 minutes, you'll receive another notification that your admin privileges have expired.
